Happy New Year to all young athletes and volleyball enthusiasts out there! As we kick off 2024, many of you eagerly await the upcoming 16U/18U tournament, which is set to take place on the weekend of January 6-7, 2024. The tournament promises to be an exciting showcase of talent, skill, and sportsmanship, and many of you are likely wondering when and where you will be playing.
Well, according to an email sent by Ki, the tournament details will be sent on January 2, 2024, giving participants ample time to prepare and plan for the upcoming games. The email is expected to contain important information such as game schedules, team assignments, and rules and regulations that players and coaches must adhere to.
One thing that has already been announced is that the tournament will take place at multiple sites, including the Anaheim Convention Center. It is important to note that the Anaheim Convention Center does not accept cash for payments for parking or admission.
In addition, Ki's email also indicated that the sites and times for the tournament will be posted Tuesday afternoon for the 16U/18U Event 1. Players and coaches need to pay attention to where they play on day one and day 2, as well as to am or pm waves. Some sites will start at 8 am on day 2 or 9 am on day 2. For day 1, every pm wave is normal, meaning it's on one court. On Day 2, all pm waves will be hybrid waves.
As we await the official tournament schedule, we encourage all athletes to stay focused and dedicated to their training and practice. The 16U/18U tournament promises to be a highly competitive event that brings together some of the best young volleyball players from around the So Cal region, and we can't wait to see the incredible talent and skill on display.
