Soaring to Collegiate Glory at Westcliff University

Transferring to Westcliff University, Amaya entered a realm where underdogs become legends. In 2025, her team etched their names in volleyball lore with jaw-dropping upsets. They dismantled the number one-ranked national university in a thrilling three-set to one conquest, then obliterated the number three-ranked Carolina University in a flawless three-sets-to-zero sweep.

The semifinal clash against Simpson University was a symphony of sheer willpower. Westcliff surged ahead, claiming game one 25-14 and game two 25-21. Though their foes clawed back, winning game three 25-27 and game four 22-25, forcing a nail-biting fifth set that ended 15-9 in defeat, the battle was won in spirit. Amaya and her teammates had already proven the impossible was within reach.

Echoing through the gym was their unbreakable mantra: "Let's prove all those coaches who doubted us wrong. Let's play and show them we belong here."
