Wind, Walls, And Texts
A Chinse proverbs read, When the wind of change blows, some build walls, while others build windmills.
The proverb speaks of perspective. When the winds of change blow across the landscape, you can build walls for protection and isolate yourself from change. Or you can make a windmill and leverage the power of the wind to blow in new horizons.
I remember watching Star Trek and the famous opening, "Space: the final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise. Its continuing mission: to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no one has gone before."
The opening used to send chills down my spine as I envision that space that others dared not go. My mind always lived an adventure in another world. I believed that the things I could see only in my mind could become real.
Shortly, I will tell you specifically about some exciting changes coming to NU Brredd Volleyball that will make us better. The better we get, the better club experience we will create for our athletes.
I will explain the text I received today: "Hey Job, I got a long day ahead of me, but I wanted to let you know I'm in. I'll give you a call this evening."
Listen to the winds of change all around us.
The winds of change have come, and NU Breed Volleyball built a windmill.
